Route Napoleon Adventure
Route Napoleon Adventure 2019 is Eight days of exhilarating riding and great hotels based in the Cities & near Mont Blanc region. It is a well paced tour with 200 daily mileages in the Alps, and a free day in the town of Castellane, right on the Gorges du Verdon and 70 miles from Monaco. Ideal for couples, first time Alpine riders or those looking for a tour with great hotels, it should still not be underestimated. Alpine riding can be challenging and demanding and 200 miles + in the twisted roads is plenty for the majority of riders, the Gorges du Verdon and Route Napoleon for its scenic views.
You will start with a longer day after an early Eurotunnel crossing to get some miles done towards Luxembourg. You will be staying in the city for your welcome dinner. From Luxembourg you are heading South into Mulhouse Via Col du Bussang. The following day we will continue south to the idyllic town of Annecy near Mont Blanc mountain. We will be staying in a hotel right on the pretty Lake Annecy. After relaxing here in one of the restaurants surrounding the medieval prison, the following morning our route continues South along the start of the Route Napoleon road, finishing off in Castellane. This town is at the heart of Gorges du Verdon and 70 miles away from Monaco, We will be staying here for two nights for us to explore the Canyons and visit Monaco and ride the Grand Prix circuit if you wish. From here our route continues West to the famous Millau Viaduct, the 'bridge in the clouds' staying in Millau itself to see the stunning sight.
The following day we will head North-West to Bordeaux to visit the pretty town and stay in a hotel in the heart to enable us to explore in the evening.
We will then head North to the city of Tours, via stopping off at a village named Oradour-sur-glane, the village was destroyed 10th June 1944, it has been preserved for visitors to view and reflect.
From Tours it will be our final leg to Le Havre ferry which is 1700 crossing. On route we will stop off in Le Mans for a break.
Le Havre ferry arrives in Portsmouth that evening 2130hrs where we will make our final farewells and head off home.
